Happy Holidays!

It has been a wonderful start to a great holiday season. Our grandson and his parents, Bree and Jonathan, are here for Thanksgiving. There is no better gift than to be a grandparent. It is God's way of saying, thank you for hanging in there.

We are thankful for family, friends, home, work, medical breakthroughs for Mom, vacations, and of course Grandchildren.

I want to thank God for my wonderful husband who has stood not just by me but by our children through better and for worse. We just celebrated 26 years of marriage and we pray for at least another 25!

It has been a tough three years filled with grief. But God has a way of working through all things and I know that one day we will look back and see the positive learning moments in these three years.

We now look forward to 2009 and to reuniting with our families and extended family members at Dillon Beach. Our con-padres, Lori and Randy Wells, are co-hosting this event with us. In Latino culture familia is defined not just by blood but by emotional and nurturing bonds.

So our two familias are having a gathering to catch up with the lives of our children and grandchildren. We invite you to join us starting SEPTEMBER 10-14th, 2009 at Dillon Beach, Ca. for the first annual Riedy-Wells family gathering at Dillon Beach. Scheduled activities will start Friday and end Sunday, with early arrivals on Thursday and late departures on Monday.

To determine costs we will need to get a tentative count on the number of persons and ages of children.
Email either Lori Wells or Alicia Riedy and check in often to this blog. riedyreunion.blogspot.com

Viva Familia!
